There are two types of reports generated by this tool -- (1) tabular view and treeview of load test runs, which allow you easily view and manage test runs; (2) Graphical results based on SQL Reporting Services, so that you can export into many other formats.
Yes, "delete" function is supported on the web page, and it is password protected. Any user can perform "delete" function from the web browser if he/she knows the password (stored in the web.config file on the server).
Q. What does "Personalization" mean in the tool, do I need log in?
The tool is built with WebParts with user profile enabled, but you do not need log in to get personalized. All the changes on layout or filter setting on the web site will be saved into a profile database. Next time, when you browse the web site on the same machine, your last changes will be restored from database.
Q. Is there limitation on what browser should I use the view the web site of PerfInsight?
Not really, we recommend IE 6 and above, while we encountered some minor issues with IE 8 on some machines. But the fix is described in the installation guide.
Installation
Q. What are Machine ID and Product Key, why do I need send Machine ID to you to activate PerfInsight?
Machine ID is unique based on your server's hardware information and is used to prevent the tool being installed on any other machines without purchase the license. Your Product key is generated specifically based on your machine ID.
Q. I decided to move to another server, how can I re-install PerfInsight?
Please uninstall PerfInsight on the old server, and install it on the new server. Then a new Machine ID for the new server will be displayed when you access the web site. Email us the new Machine ID to get a new Product Key.
